The Power of the Fourth Estate-The Art and Beauty of Journaling

“Fill your paper with the breathings of your heart.” —William Wordsworth

Historically, the term "Fourth Estate" or "fourth power" refers to the press and news media, both in their explicit advocacy role and their implicit power to frame political issues. Metaphorically, I prefer to form my own opinions and follow my own set of rules. Therefore, I have reframed the concept of journaling as "The Fourth Estate" due to its significant influence on spiritual, financial, and personal development and behavior.

A few years ago, I made the significant decision to step away from social media and return to writing and journaling. It was, if you will, a return to my roots—a practice I had cherished in Macedonia long ago, during a time of hardship, which I navigated with the solace of my God and my journal. Recently, I stumbled upon my old journals, small yet profound relics of my past. Within them resides what I freely call the 4th Estate legacy, an enduring essence that transcends time. Research indicates that our learning is enhanced when we actively share our knowledge with others, and I have felt compelled to share this enriching experience.

Although the urge to journal was always strong within me, I struggled with the practical aspects of how, when, and what to write. It wasn't until I recommitted to my education, completing my Bachelor of Arts, that I rediscovered the transformative power of writing. Back home in Macedonia, I was one of the best essayists in my school and had the privilege of writing and reading my essay in front of my classmates, having been specially selected by my literature professors. Reflecting on the past, it feels like such an honor now. For the longest time I had been misled by the notion that daily journaling was the only path to success, leading to feelings of inadequacy when I couldn't meet this unrealistic expectation. As Jim Rohn wisely stated, "What is easy to do is also easy not to do," a truth that resonated deeply with me. Thus, I adopted a weekly journaling routine instead, setting aside dedicated time each Sunday at 6:00 PM to reflect and write. Embracing the notion that life is measured in weeks, not just days, I found a rhythm that worked for me. Consistency became my mantra, and I discovered that setting aside a quiet hour each week for introspection yielded profound results. Through this practice, I began to see tangible changes in myself—I became more organized, more attuned to my surroundings, and more committed to personal growth.

The Fouth Estate became a journey of self-discovery, a process through which I unearthed truths about my character and identified areas for improvement. Though there were moments of doubt and resistance, I persisted, recognizing that true growth often lies beyond our comfort zones. Today, as I look back on my journey, I am proud of the progress I've made and the person I've become.

My weekly journaling practice has become a cornerstone of my life, a ritual that grounds me and fosters continuous growth. Through the written word, I have unlocked doors to financial freedom, strengthened my relationships, thrived in my business and career, and deepened my understanding of myself. Now, I am eager to share this transformative experience with others, inviting them to join me on a journey of self-discovery and personal empowerment.

If you're ready to embark on your own journaling journey, I invite you and request your presence to join me at my upcoming event, where we will explore the power of the Forth Estate world over a light dinner and delightful refreshments, including Dunkin' Donuts coffee, an opportunity to win a Photoshoot and Make up makeover bundle of joy, and many more delights.
